Born in Vigevano, Carlo Maria Rabai settled in Bologna while studying film and television after graduating in modern literature in Pavia. He is the editorial director of "Birdmen Magazine" and collaborates with various online newspapers for the entertainment and culture sections. He is working on the transition from videomaker to filmmaker and in parallel with his other activities he is working on the Svalbard Project, a family epic made up of stories, paintings, drawings and videos about a mysterious family of fishermen from Lampedusa with a Scandinavian surname.
