War demolishes, peace builds. Project after project. Like the unpublished ones by Riccardo Blumer, Sara Bozzini, Lorenzo Damiani, Marco Ferreri, Giulio Iacchetti, Donata Paruccini and Paolo Ulian, brought together in the exhibition. In a period punctuated by drums of war, the seven projects create an environment for reflection around urgent questions. Can justice pass for a bullet? Can uplifting ends be pursued through bloody means? Do ordinary acts not have transformative value? Can sending love letters, talking to an “adversary,” guarding relationships between people and society make barbed wires and walls of separation obsolete? How to reconnect what has been separated, stitching up the wounds, the caesuras of history and our lives?
