Milan once again becomes a grand stage, with the spotlight shining on the world of books and reading. BookCity Milano returns for its fourteenth edition, bringing to the city over 1,400 events—including meetings with authors, book presentations, readings, and performances. The focus of the 2025 edition is The Power of Ideas / The Ideas of Power, a theme that encourages a collective reflection on the two-way relationship between ideas and power. Within this dialogue, the book represents the space where insights, memories, and the stories of everyday human relationships are preserved—and where possible futures can take shape. Books are instruments of knowledge and empathy, capable of capturing the complexity of reality while also imagining new horizons. The city becomes a stage for a vast debate on the stories of the past, present, and future, in the awareness that books are an essential heritage for envisioning and shaping both individual and collective futures.
