City Echoes
IAMDDB, Flora Yin Wong
Curated by Magma Studio, City Echoes in Voce Triennale tells how the female voice is changing in contemporary music. From traditional singing to experimental sound, from storytelling to sonic matter, it becomes a transformative tool. Between R&B, avant-garde hip hop and electronics, a creative space opens up where the voice is the protagonist.
The protagonist of the second talk is IAMDDB, a British artist of Angolan-Portuguese origin who has redefined urban jazz with a personal and experimental style, between trap, R&B and soul. With her is Flora Yin Wong, a London-based sound artist capable of transforming intimate experiences and nocturnal visions into layered soundscapes between ambient, concrète and Eastern spirituality. Opening is Simone De Kunovich, an Italian producer with a transversal sensibility, between vocal fragments and changing rhythms. An invitation to deep listening, where the voice becomes a space of invention.
