The project Diachronicles won Giulia Parlato the Young Italian Photography Prize | Luigi Ghirri 2022, conceived and promoted by the Reggio Emilia City Council in collaboration with Triennale Milano, GAI – Associazione per il Circuito dei Giovani Artisti Italiani and Fotografia Europea, with the contribution of Reire srl. Diachronicles narrates historical space as an imaginary container in which what appears to be a body of evidence opens up to the fantastical. In this space, attempts to reconstruct the past get lost in phantasmagorical voids where objects are generated, used, buried, unearthed, transported and relocated.
