Green Over Gray. Emilio Ambasz
Free admission upon registration
A journey into contemporary architecture through one of its pioneers, Emilio Ambasz, known for his creations that combine ecological design and aesthetics. Green Over Gray portrays the theoretical and design development linked to the Green Architecture revolution, through the analysis of some seminal projects by Emilio Ambasz, which have covered the current debate on climate impact and introduced a vision of Nature that today, 40 years later, we recognize as a turning point in the history of the relationship between man and the environment. The theme of Architecture’s accountability towards the welfare of the different ecosystems in which we live is also addressed through exclusive interviews with the architects Tadao Ando, Kengo Kuma, Toyo Ito, James Wines, Barry Bergdoll, Columbia University Professor, Fulvio Irace Professor Emeritus at Politecnico di Milano, and the botanist Stefano Mancuso. Images of contemporary life in the existing buildings, together with the lyrics and fables by Emilio Ambasz, give shape to an unconventional and dreamlike documentary on how Architecture can influence our behavior and our impact on the planet.
