JAZZDESIGNJAZZ is JAZZMI's new contest dedicated to Jazz soloists under 40. On 2 November, the six semi-finalists who signed up for the JAZZMI call will have the opportunity to play on stage at the Triennale Milano Teatro alongside the big names of Italian Jazz: Enrico Intra, drummer Tullio De Piscopo and composer Enrico Rava. They will be accompanied by the Civica Jazz Band. On 3 November the final will be held with the performance of the two finalists who have passed the round previously. Each artist brings his or her own original piece, which will be specially rearranged by the orchestra. JAZZDESIGNJAZZ is a project that aims to rediscover Jazz music and Italian Design, two worlds that characterised and accompanied Milan after the Second World War and produced some of the finest moments in the history of the city of Milan.
