The repertoire of the pioneer of electronic composition Éliane Radigue is brought to the stage by two leading names on the music scene. For FOG 2024, percussionist Enrico Malatesta will perform OCCAM OCÉAN – OCCAM XXVI, part of the Occam Océan cycle, one of Radigue's most renowned projects, where musicians with a personal and creative approach are invited to create unique compositions for acoustic instruments. Composer and musician François J. Bonnet, will bring instead the electronic sounds of L'Île Re-Sonante, creating a unique experience for the listener, in an evening that will unleash the full emotional and evocative potential of sound.
Éliane Radigue is a French composer and pioneer in the field of electronic music. From the early 2000s, she began a new phase of her work, dedicating almost exclusively to pieces for acoustic instruments. Her production has found great stimulation and numerous sources of inspiration in Tibetan Buddhism, which has allowed her to give life to some of her most renowned works, such as the Trilogy of Death, inspired by the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
François J. Bonnet is a Franco-Swiss composer, writer and theorist based in Paris. He’s the Director of French Musical Research Institution INA GRM since 2018.
Enrico Malatesta is a percussionist active in experimental realms that intersect between music and performing arts. He presents his work throughout Europe, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, North America, and Russia, participating in numerous contemporary music and performing arts festivals.
