Osservatorio Arte Contemporanea
Free admission upon registration
The Osservatorio Arte Contemporanea platform is born, a tool dedicated to the analysis of the international visibility of Italian contemporary art. The project takes off from the report “How much Italian contemporary art is (re)known abroad,” edited by Silvia Anna Barrilà, Franco Broccardi, Maria Adelaide Marchesoni, Marilena Pirrelli and Irene Sanesi (March 2023), and is developed thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture's TOCC call for proposals and other partners. The contents of the first study have been updated and digitized, shaping a permanent observatory on contemporary Italian art. The site offers a database, based on artificial intelligence systems, that collects information on the careers of Italian artists born after 1960: exhibitions abroad, appearances in museum collections, galleries and international biennials, and media coverage. A discussion on the tax and regulatory system at the European level and an in-depth discussion on the Italian Council complete the talk.
