Laila Al Habash
Born in 1998, Laila Al Habash grew up with Mina as her idol, and now mixes contemporary influences such as Kali Uchis, Princess Nokia and Devendra Banhart in her songs. Her debut came in 2019 when Bomba Dischi released three singles and this year she joined the Undamento label and released her first EP, Moquette, produced by Niccolò Contessa and Stabber. Laila’s sound is a stream of gentle, sincere lyrics against a background of raw, enveloping sounds, creating an intimate, impudent storyline that wells up from the heart, resting on a delicate but direct score. Laila Al Habash continues to reveal her courage and personality and has proved to be one of the most fascinating Italian singer-songwriters around.
