The Wild Blue Yonder

Werner Herzog

Free admission upon registration

A narrative that interweaves the story of astronauts lost in space with the mysterious unidentified object of Roswell, enhanced by the presence of Brad Dourif as an alien. The latter tells us about his home planet, where the atmosphere is composed of liquid helium and the sky is frozen. Through a selection of never-before-seen space and nature footage, accompanied by a hypnotic soundtrack, Werner Herzog creates one of his most surprising and radical works. The director constructs a visually and sonically powerful work that explores science fiction in a unique way, blending images, sounds and emotions into a highly personal vision of the genre.

The screening is part of the program Werner Herzog and the four natural elements, which accompanies the exhibition Il Nostro Tempo, CinéFondationCartier.
