Triennale 1923 – 2023
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Triennale Milano, a short story on the 100 years of Triennale is presented at the Milan Linate Air Terminal, which also traces the history of the twenty-three editions of the International Exhibition. Furniture, complements, consumer electronics, and toys signed by the master protagonists of this historic affair are set up to document a history that today more than ever offers the public opportunities for education and multiple forms of knowledge, among them: Franco Albini, Bruno Munari, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Enzo Mari, Marco Zanuso, Richard Sapper, Gino Valle, Studio 65, Ettore Sottsass Jr., Perry A King, Gaetano Pesce, Philippe Starck, and Eero Aarnio. The exhibition is rounded out with a large-scale piece of furniture, the Joe armchair, by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi in the Departure Room as a reminder of the craftsmanship and exploration of new worlds for which Milanese design has always been an ambassador.
