Dan Graham
The Passing Time City

Free admission

A tribute to Dan Graham (Urbana, 1942 - New York, 2022), one of the most important international conceptual artists, through a focus devoted to "pavilions," works created since the 1980s that lie on the border between art and architecture. Accessible and visitable, the pavilions, constructed of steel and glass (mirrored or semi-reflective), create an environmental dimension that challenges the viewer's perception and relationship with space. The outdoor space in front of the Palace of Art houses the large-scale London Rococo pavilion, commissioned in 2012 for Sculpture in the City in London. In the garden, the Sagitarian Girl pavilion from 2008 is presented. Part of the Cuore, on the other hand, is dedicated to hosting video documentation, works and in-depth materials.
