Davide Allieri
After All
Free admission
The practice of Davide Allieri (Bergamo, 1982) is steeped in references to cinema, theater and sci-fi. It is characterized by several recurrent themes, including experimentation with materials, reflection on the coordinates of space and time within dystopian habitats, and the inclusion of isolating and protective elements: shell devices abandoned in post-apocalyptic scenarios. The works on display are all new and specifically conceived to dialogue with the Impluvium space. They were developed from ordinary objects that the artist has modified and turned into disturbing, alien forms, between the organic and inorganic. The result is a landscape of abandonment, characterized by remains and traces of a now extinct society: a forewarning of an uncertain future that makes us think about the ambiguity between past and future, abandonment and recovery, destruction and invention. The show is part of the program to promote and boost the new Italian art scene, which Triennale has been implementing for some years.
