Great Portable Utopias

Alessandro Mendini by Stefano Casciani. An Artistic Biography

October 30 2025, 6.00pm

Free admission upon registration

In this book by Casciani, published by Phaidon and in Italy by Rizzoli, Alessandro Mendini's long intellectual journey through utopias and the arts is outlined for the first time in a personal, scientific and yet romantic biography. From his family "Casa La Vita" to the provocations of Radical Design, from the great museums of the world to the streets of the working-class neighborhoods of Naples, Casciani's writing and memories, plus the richest iconography evoke the soul and work of the most generous among Italian design intellectuals.
