As part of the festival In reciproca attesa, organized in collaboration with UBI Unione Buddhista Italiana, we present a conference dedicated to the theme of listening, exploring artistic research, contemplative traditions, theoretical reflection, and political action. Spiritual traditions have formalized, over millennia, a series of techniques - meditation, spiritual exercises, retreats, ritual dances, and music - aimed at connecting deeply with oneself and the world. The event invites us to consider the sonic arts - and, by extension, art itself - as spaces to “inhabit listening,” as an autonomous aesthetic dimension that fosters attentive experiences in a universe of perceptual dispersion. The conference sessions will be opened by a live performance from Franco-American composer and clarinetist Carol Robinson, and French composer and saxophonist Bertrand Gauguet.
