Musica infinita
Composition, interpretation, performance
Free admission upon registration
The new event of Musica infinita—the festival dedicated to classical and contemporary music curated by Francesco Fusaro—is dedicated to how music is composed today, in a field that oscillates between tradition and experimentation. From the trajectories that connect ancient instruments, arrangement, and contemporary writing in the multifaceted practice of Enrico Gabrielli, to Lemmo's algorithmic and political-sound research, the panel focuses on three different ways of understanding composition in the 21st century.
With
Enrico Gabrielli, composer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger
Lemmo, composer, sound researcher
Enrico Gabrielli is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger active in contemporary music, pop, and experimental music. With degrees in clarinet and composition, he has collaborated with Afterhours, PJ Harvey, and Iggy Pop. In addition to being a member of Calibro 35, he is co-founder of Esecutori di Metallo su Carta and the 19'40'' series, with which he develops new forms of listening in concert halls, clubs, and visual arts.
Lemmo is a composer and sound researcher in the field of electronic and experimental music. Their practice intertwines algorithms, sound research, and multidisciplinary approaches, investigating the links between musical form and social issues. They have collaborated with artists such as Chiara Bersani, Margherita Morgantin, Mariangela Gualtieri, and Cesare Ronconi (Teatro Valdoca). His works explore sound as gesture, relationship, and critical stance.
