This conference aims to offer a broad critical perspective on the work and figure of Paolo Tilche, architect, designer, and promoter of domestic culture. The event is part of the research path accompanying the exhibition Paolo Tilche and the Dissemination of Design in Milan, scheduled at Triennale in 2026. Situating his work within the context of Milan from the post-war reconstruction period to the dawn of the new century, the conference explores Tilche’s multifaceted practice, which ranged from architecture to design and the creation of a genuine culture of living. A central focus is also given to his early television work with RAI and his collaborations with his wife Anna Pontremoli through ARFORM.
