Pescador a mano libera

Pescador a mano libera is a documentary on Lucia Pescador directed by Judith Du Pasquier and produced by Les Champs Voulus. Filmed in the spring of 2023, the docufilm portrays the poetic and creative universe of the artist, who has been exploring themes linked to memory and its stratifications for over sixty years. Her works, with their mysterious and ancient flavour, are inspired by history, nature and distant places that the artist has never really visited, except through her mind, such as Africa. In the film, the domestic and familiar dimension of Pescador's home/studio, saturated with old yellowed papers, oversized painted jackets and flea market items, alternates with the institutional environment of the Brescia gallery, where the artist works on "Africa per sentito dire e varia umanità".
