Will you marry me?

Sara Leghissa

December 14 2020, 7.00pm

On the occasion of the cancelled debut during the 2020 edition of the FOG Triennale Milano Performing Arts Festival, Sara Leghissa presents a digital version of Will you marry me?
The performance, a site-specific project exploring the relationship between illegal practices and public space, scheduled for last April, has been partially developed in the video presented here.

Follow the event on YouTube or on this page.

Waiting for its debut in the 2021 programming of Triennale Milano Teatro, the video is accompanied by a virtual meeting between the creator Sara Leghissa and Livia Andrea Piazza, researcher and instructor in the fields of theater and performing arts.
The meeting intends to explore the boundary between legality and illegality, drawing on personal experiences and practices of resistance which employ the law to break the law. The talk also intends to investigate how our perception of the norms changes depending on the historical time in which we live and the privileges we enjoy.
A timely reflection which engages the audience in explicitly mimetic forms of complicity and public resistance.
