Pascal Rambert

Running time 95’

A performance that doesn’t simply stage but fully engages energies, bodies, emotions. Two sisters and two personalities, two versions of the past, two outlooks on life: a story of resentments, misunderstandings, open wounds, paybacks. Yet in this fight to the death, violence and love are entwined; the sisters’ conflict both separates them and unites them. Pascal Rambert, who in 2016 was awarded the Theatre Prize from the Académie Française, comes to Milan with the Italian version of a piece created for Marina Hands and Audrey Bonnet. In the performance by Sara Bertelà and Anna Della Rosa, edgy jokes and brutal questions intersect, bounce off, sneak in and flood the stage, immersing the audience in the thick of the sisters’ truths and struggles, as if they were the spectators’ own. A powerful work that confirms Pascal Rambert as one of the most important international artists.
