The performers of the show La vegetariana - stage adaptation of the novel by South Korean writer Han Kang, Nobel prize for Literature 2024 - share some rules of the game, discoveries, and viewpoints on the process of collaborative creation. From the novel through a cinematic adaptation (by Daria Deflorian and Francesca Marciano) to the verification in the rehearsal room: from writing to writing, from page to body, from body to space.
Daria Deflorian is an actress, author and theater director. She won the Premio Ubu 2012 for best actress and was awarded the Premio Hystrio in 2013. In 2020 she collaborated with the visual artist Adrian Paci, writing the words and providing the voice for Vedo rosso, a video work that was part of the international Mascarilla 19 project. Together with the group Oceano Indiano/Teatro di Roma, she launched Radio India during the pandemic, which won the Premio Ubu in 2021 for special project. She wrote and directed the final year performance for students of the La Manufacture international theater school in 2022 with En finir, from Changer Method by Edouard Louis, and in 2023 Elogio della vita a rovescio, the first part of a biennial project based on La Vegetariana.
