The Sound Garden: Out of Sight

"The Sound Garden: Out of Sight" is a sound art installation by artist The Astronut - Massimiliano Ionta, curated by Clelia Patella.

The artwork is an immersive experience that uses spatialized audio in augmented reality and it is usable through a free App. The installation is geolocated in the garden of Triennale Milano.
The app allows the viewer to fully experience the sound metaverse, essence of the installation, within which seven spheres, the iconic object of the artist's work, are visible, each emitting a sound. These are the voices of our dramatic decline: melting glaciers, deforestation and fires, the cries of seagulls flying over landfills, and the screams and tears of people suffering from hunger and war. If you step into the center, however, sounds achieve coherence, harmonies appear in an endless sound cycle. In time, and timeless. In the hope that our time is not over.

The intent of the site-specific work is to illustrate the effects of human beings' actions on the planet and, consequently, on the urban environment and its relationship to survival itself.
