Triennale Upside Down
Stefano Boeri, President of Triennale MilanoIn a moment as difficult and uncertain as the present, culture is a fundamentally important resource and must find new ways of reaching out to our communities. The task of a cultural institution is to keep going, move forward its work with artists and designers, renew its exchange of ideas and dialogue with the public. The two great exhibitions recently opened, focusing on Enzo Mari and Claudia Andujar, the Public Program appointments, guided visits to Museo del Design Italiano, the Festival FOG performances: all Triennale Milano’s extraordinary riches will continue to be accessible on digital channels and platforms over the coming days.
In accordance with the government directives of November 3, 2020, Triennale Milano will close to the public until January 15th and continue its events online in a series of formats and contents which will be posted on the institution’s website and social media pages. Triennale is transforming its physical cultural production spaces into digital spaces, a constantly open online hub which will put across the institution’s multi-disciplinary vocation and its contents. It is a comprehensive and constantly evolving programme of videos, podcasts, guided visits, educational activities, online meetings and performances and masterclasses: the intention of the Triennale’s digital programme is to provide opportunities for thought, distraction, inspiration and study, a way of keeping in touch in this period in which the Triennale is closed.
