Improvvisazioni itineranti in Parco Sempione
Ariella Vidach
Free admission upon registration
Running time: 60'
FOG and Ariella Vidach, artistic director of the company AiEP, create a project specifically devised for public spaces, offering an opportunity to research the city’s landscape and its relationship with technology. Young dancers and coreographers - supervised by the artist with Claudio Prati and Simone Verduci - perform improvised scores and site-specific interventions in the context of Parco Sempione. The search for a new relationship between body and nature, movement and urban space, intersects with the everyday quality of the metropolitan habitat, under the curious gaze of the citizens/spectators.
Ariella Vidach is a choreographer and dancer originally from Croatia, who trained in New York in the 1980s with key figures of American postmodern dance, including Trisha Brown, Twyla Tharp, Dana Reitz, Steve Paxton and Bill T. Jones. She started her creative work in New York, devising performances which were subsequently also presented in Europe. In 1990 she moved to Milan and in 1996 she founded the dance company AiEP, with Claudio Prati. She lives in Milan where she teaches at Scuola Paolo Grassi and Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera.
