For 2023 Milano Arch Week, we present the Lights on Milan project together with the photographers involved in the four walking itineraries dedicated to the southeastern part of Milan. An initiative promoted by Scenari.

Giovanni E. Galanello
Independent photographer based in Milan, trained as an architect. He is interested in the life of ordinary artifacts and the relationship between human landscape and memory. He collaborates with Italian and international publications. He is represented by Galerie Kernweine.

Francesca Iovene
She instinctively focuses on the atmospheres of space, bringing her subjective reality into the objective world to stage everyday life as it is experienced: unique and recurring phenomena characterize architecture and places in general, making them look like themselves, but always different. He lives in Berlin and Milan.

Filippo Romano
His work is about cities, architecture and city dwellers. Through his projects on urban development in Chinese cities, photojournalism from the Haiti earthquake, or the ongoing project on the Mathare ghetto in Nairobi, he collects visual fragments as short stories of contemporary urban lives. He is based in Milan

Federico Villa
The foundations of his work are to focus on the qualities of a space and human in the photographic image: project and subject become one and continuous path. He conceives photography as a tool for archiving contemporaneity with a critical analysis between natural and artificial. He is based in Milan.
