A short film curated by the artistic duo, which deals—through the cinematographic eye with the fascination for nature—, the desire to revisit ancestral legends and the expression of a disorder in love, mixing Jules Massenet's opera Werther and the arias sung by Michael Jackson in the intimacy of his studio. Performer François Chaignaud sings, dances, transforms, in a metamorphosis that, slipping between different vocal and physical registers, seems to prolong the dream of total expression. The screening is organized in collaboration with Institut français Milano, and is accompanied by a dialogue —in French (consecutive Italian translation)—with Nino Laisné, along with Antonella Croci (culture manager of Institut français Milano) and Damiano Gullì (Triennale curator for Contemporary art and public program).

Also a writer, historian and singer, and a true master of crossdressing, François Chaignaud has over the years created a unique character capable of skillfully blending high and pop culture, tradition and innovation, challenging genres and categories. A 2003 graduate of the Conservatoire national supérieur de danse de Paris, the artist creates performances in which dance and song come together through diverse inspirations. In 2009 he published L'Affaire Berger-Levrault. Le féminisme à l'épreuve (1898-1905). In 2018 he produces Souflette, a piece for 14 dancers from Ballet Carte Blanche, and in 2019 Symphonia Harmoniæ Cælestium Revelationum, inspired by the musical works of Hildegard of Bingen. In 2020 he creates GOLD SHOWER in collaboration with butō icon Akaji Maro, and choreographs Un Boléro, as a tribute to the figure of Bronislava Nijinska. In 2022 he created a new work, t u m u l u s, with Geoffroy Jourdain. He received the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of the French Republic.

Nino Laisné's artistic research combines different tracks in an exquisitely original way, bypassing any genre boundaries. In recent years, he has created a unique image-centered universe. Through his knowledge of cinema and music, the artist creates dialogues of sounds instead of words. Characterized by a certain bizarreness, his works combine different languages and include historical and sociological elements: art, folk traditions, fashion, cabaret, opera. Os convidados and Esas lágrimas son pocas are examples of how his art combines different tendencies, from everyday reality to fiction, and vice versa. Laisné's projects and video works have been presented in prestigious international contexts. He is currently a member of the Académie de France in Madrid.
