L’ombelico dei limbi
Stefania Tansini
Running time 45’
Stefania Tansini, revelation of Italy’s young choreographic scene, comes back to FOG with a contemporary dance performance that stages The Umbilicus of Limbo by the French dramaturg and actor Antonin Artaud. The body and voice of the dancer-choreographer bear witness to the agony of the real, to a feeling of alienation, to a loss of nostalgia, to the creation of a new language and to the grief of the fragmentation of identity. The performance continues the artist’s experimental investigation of the body and of movement, searching for a form of authentic expression and a deep connection with the Other.
Stefania Tansini is a dancer and choreographer, graduated from the Accademia Paolo Grassi in Milan. She has worked with Romeo Castellucci, Cindy Van Acker, Simona Bertozzi, Luca Veggetti, Enzo Cosimi, Ariella Vidach, Motus, and embarked on a research path on the body which she carries out through choreographic and performative projects. She is the winner of the 2022 UBU Award in the category "best performer under 35".
