France
Situations. Strategies for Inhabiting Instability: Phenomena, Events, Coincidences

The French participation does not exhibit objects, but it rather pushes the visitor to consider what happens in between them, revealing their infinite number of combinations.

Not seeking to resolve or to avoid any matter, it asks us to temporarily suspend our judgement about what direction to take. With this in mind, it combines and offers a lemon tree, a DIY data centre and twenty-two other objects all on the same interpretive level.
A selection that at first sight is sparse and heterogeneous and that reveals an “ecology without nature”, a relation between what we produce and what it already exists.

At the base of this proposal lies the belief that our future is troubled and that we need to interact differently with the environment that we inhabit. We can no longer bank on massive or multiple projects, rather we have to observe what is already there and admit that we have not yet exhausted all its potential configurations.
This project takes the form of a system that is completed by the presence of visitors, mediating the space and acting as the homeowner, reflecting on the need for what is new and on the possibility to see what is already there from a different point of view.
